1 Femi's Work 04.03.13


  (Scene 4-banquet scene)

Int-Glamis Castle

 

Narrator 4: (speaks mystically)

Prophecy has become truth, witches foretell the truth

Narrator 5: Macbeth is troubled by this, for his children will not be kings, Banquo wills

(Mists sets into the air)

Macbeth: (thinks)

I cannot allow let Banquo descendants rule Scotland, mine will, I must get rid of him and Fleance

Narrator 6: A great banquet is organised in Macbeth’s name, all nobility are invited. Including Banquo and Fleance

Int-the King’s bedchambers

Banquo: Im sorry Macbeth, I really am...But Fleance and I are going out ridding

(Macbeth smiles)

Macbeth :( thinks)

You’ve given me the opportunity I wanted

Ext-In the woods

Narrator 7: As Banquo rode along with son, he is uneasy, he keeps thinks about the witches tell the future

Banquo :( thinks)

 What if Macbeth tries to kill me, there are rumours he circulating that he helped kill the king!

(Horses neigh)

(Branches twitches)

Fleance :( speaks to the horse)

What wrong old girl?

(Fleance strokes the horse)

Int-the king’s bedchambers

(Macbeth turns towards one of his guards)

 

Macbeth :( coldly)

Have your friend caught up with him, you better make sure they kill Banquo

Guard 1: Of course, sire

Ext-Back in the woods

Narrator 8: Fleance fleas in fear as his father has just been murdered

Int-Meanwhile in the Banquet

(Music begins)

(Macbeth walks in along with his wife)

(Everyone bows)

Everyone: All hail the King, long live the King! All hail the Queen, long live the Queen!

(As Macbeth walks towards his chair, he sees something that startles him)

(Pointing to the chair)

Macbeth :( stutters)

Is that you Banquo, you’re... You’re dead I never killed you, why do you taunt me!

Banquo ghost: You will suffer, your children will never being

Lord Ross: Is something wrong, my lord, can I help you?

(Silence is in the air)

Lady Macbeth: Im sorry, my husband is very ill, please can everyone leave

Lord Ross: Of course, sire

(Lady Macbeth grabs her husband)

Lady Macbeth :( angrily)

Pull yourself together!
